The Monthly Energy Review recently reported that US Renewables now supply more energy to the electric grid than nuclear power does.
This is the first time in the United States that the output from our portfolio of renewable energy sources has surpassed that of our nuclear power sources.
The numbers represent the total power production for the country, not just electricity generation. This is why numbers for coal look low and numbers for oil look high. The report is a credit to the growth of renewable energy resources in the United States in recent years.
